Andover VBS is a collaborative community Vacation Bible School program run by Free Christian Church, St. Augustine’s Parish, and St. Michael’s Parish. We work to provide an exciting Christ-focused program to remind kids of God’s love for them and encourage them to take their faith with them throughout the year. Each year at VBS we also raise money for a Lazarus House. Learn about Lazarus House here.
Dates: July 29- August 2
The elementary VBS program takes place at Free Christian Church, 31 Elm St. Andover, MA. Kids entering 1st – 6th grade can register for the Elementary program. Participants are divided into crews of 6-8 children. Each crew is assigned 2-3 teen crew leaders for the week to guide them through their daily activities. Kids begin and end their day at VBS with a high energy large group time, and spend the rest of their time rotating through various activity stations.
The Early Childhood VBS program take place at the St. Augustine’s Parish Center building 35 Essex St Andover, MA. Children ages 4-6 (up through entering first graders) get to experience an engaging VBS program specifically geared towards their developmental stage. We know that some children prefer a smaller, gently paced program and for that reason we welcome kids entering grade 1 to attend the Early Childhood program. Not sure what program would be best for your child? Reach out to Jane Mulcahy (email@example.com) or Bridget Rao (firstname.lastname@example.org) for help in making your decision. The early childhood incorporates uses the same theme, music, and Bible stories into a slightly shortened day and altered schedule perfect for younger children. Early Childhood participants are divided into crew of 5-6 children, each group is led throughout the week by 2-3 teen helpers.
